Through an exciting partnership between the Florida YMCA Youth and Government program and the University of South Florida St. Petersburg (USFSP), students have the opportunity to extend their Youth and Government experience into college-level civic learning. Eligible participants can earn up to six college credits, while deepening their understanding of civic leadership, local government, and public policy. The Civic Fellows Program culminates with a week long institute on campus at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, where teens are able to hear from guest speakers, explore the city of St. Pete, and gain the college experience. This partnership reflects our shared comittement to developing the next generation of leaders, and recognizes the Youth and Government program academically.
